A free service that packages your AI output into a proper brief and sends it to an expert you already trust for a professional sense-check. Solicitor, accountant, marketing consultant, HR manager, architect, engineer — whoever you already work with. Their reply routes back to your inbox; nothing sits on our servers after delivery.

Two routes. The primary flow is your own — add the email of the professional you already work with (the person whose judgement you already trust) and they receive your brief. The second is Expert Match — our engine picks one matched expert from the ailetterbox directory based on your brief and your profile, and adds them alongside. Every tier includes one Expert Match on top of the experts you know. Either way, briefs route direct to the expert; replies come back to you direct.

Yes — up to three experts you know per brief, plus one Expert Match. The Expert Match slot is free on every send, no account needed. Each recipient’s tier gates the size their inbox can accept, so if you’re sending a large brief, all your chosen experts need to be on a tier that fits.

One brief = one AI output packaged for expert review. Caps reset on the 1st of each month.

Anything your expert can sense-check — AI-drafted contracts, marketing plans, P&L analyses, HR letters, product specs, brand copy, engineering scopes, medical notes, financial forecasts, technical specifications, tender responses. If a human expert would normally review it, ailetterbox packages it for them.

Depends on your recipient expert’s tier. If they’re on Expert (free): PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), CSV, plain text — up to 2MB per file. Expert Pro ($29/mo): same formats up to 5MB, plus drawings, screenshots and images. Expert AI ($99/mo): everything up to 25MB — architectural elevations, engineering schematics, product mockups, printed contracts, chart photos from board decks. You’ll see your recipient’s tier and capacity on the send form once you enter their email.

ailetterbox is a letterbox — content passes through us in both directions and is deleted from our servers as soon as delivery is confirmed. The verdict tag, timestamps, and expert’s name are retained (that’s your record); the actual comment / question text is not. Full details in Data security.

Because AI is a prediction engine — it’s probability-driven, not fixed. Imagine asking a barista to describe a coffee: a deterministic barista reads from a card and says the same words every time; a prediction-driven one describes it in their own words, differently each time. AI works like the second barista. Same input can produce “rich and chocolatey” today, “smooth with cocoa notes” tomorrow — and sometimes it just gets something quietly wrong. Small variance in wording is the difference between a contract that holds up and one that doesn’t, a P&L that flags the right risk and one that doesn’t, a technical spec that engineers can build from and one that leaves questions. Two things in one email: (1) a structured packaged brief our AI generates from your paste — profession, summary, key facts, question — so they can decide within seconds; and (2) your full AI output verbatim (unless you turn that off), so they can give a proper sense-check on the exact wording. The summary is for triage; the verbatim is for the review. If your paste contains sensitive information, redact it before sending — briefs can’t be un-sent once emailed.

Depends entirely on your expert. Most professionals responding to a client they already know come back within a day or two. If they haven’t responded after a few days, nudge them directly; you have their email.

It’s a professional sense-check from someone you already work with — not formal advice under a signed retainer. If the sense-check surfaces an issue you need to act on (legal, medical, financial, regulated), your expert can quote for the formal engagement in their response and take the work forward properly. Head to /pro, pick a plan, enter your email. During our launch beta the paid tiers are free — you’ll get a magic link, click it, and your plan is provisioned automatically. Every brief you’ve sent from that email — even before you signed up — is linked to the account.

Expert Match delivers one matched expert per brief. Our engine reads your packaged brief — profession, summary, key facts, question — and picks the one expert from our network whose profession, skills, and response record best match what you’re asking.

Why one? Expertise isn’t a directory scroll. You don’t need to compare ten profiles — you need the right person, delivered. Expert Match uses the same ranking signals a good referrer would (does their profile actually match your question, are they active, do they respond) and returns the single best match.

What counts as a match? Profession relevance (does an accountant belong on a tax question?), skill alignment (VAT vs. corporate finance vs. audit), response record (do they actually reply within their stated window), and priority ranking (Expert-tier subscribers surface first when equal).

How do I use it? On the brief page, when you want a second opinion or don’t already have an expert in mind, tap the Expert Match button. It delivers one matched expert — you add them to the brief and hit send.

No — not to receive briefs from your own clients. They send it through ailetterbox and it lands in your inbox with three verdict buttons: Sound / Needs revision / Don’t use. One click, add a comment, submit. Your review routes back to them through us. You never had to sign up.

If you want to be discoverable by new seekers, a free Seeker account unlocks a free Expert profile in your dashboard — add it and you’re included in Expert Match, so seekers looking for your expertise can find you.

Yes. No listing fees, no cut of paid follow-on work, no subscription required to receive briefs. The paid Expert AI tier ($99/mo) is opt-in when you want the AI Inbox (your AI address), a Community Letterbox (share with colleagues, or open your own branded ailetterbox), and a private Knowledge Base.

You can turn on “Key mode” — briefs can only reach you if the seeker has a key you’ve issued out-of-band. Useful if you only want to review for existing clients. Turn it off to receive open briefs from anyone with your email.

No. Every reply is optional. The three verdict buttons make it fast — one click for Sound, a bit more if you add a comment. You can also decline to review and add a short reason.

Yes. Every review email has an optional “Follow-on quote” field — describe the work + fee, and it’s attached to the reply the seeker receives. Any subsequent engagement is agreed directly between you and the seeker — ailetterbox doesn’t take a cut.

A vision-capable packaging mode that reads the visual content of your attachment, not just its text. Whether it’s available depends on your recipient expert’s tier: Expert (free) accepts text-only extraction; Expert Pro and Expert AI route your file through a vision model that sees the file the way a human would.

What you can attach: JPG, PNG, HEIC images, scanned PDFs (image-only PDFs that used to be blank to us), PDFs that combine drawings + spec text, screenshots of contracts / dashboards / whiteboards, photographs of printed documents, charts extracted from board decks, technical drawings, architectural elevations, engineering schematics, product mockups, medical images with annotations, handwritten notes.

How it’s packaged: the vision model describes the drawing in structured terms — dimensions, materials, elements, key features, spatial relationships, callouts, labels — and folds that description into your brief for your expert to review. A tower-block elevation gets packaged as: “8-storey mixed-use tower, glazed south facade, cantilevered balconies floors 2–7, mechanical plant on roof, ground-floor commercial.” A P&L chart gets packaged as: “Revenue trending +12% YoY, gross margin compressing from 42% to 38%, opex flat.”

Expert Pro vs Expert AI: Expert Pro handles files up to 5MB — enough for most single-image drawings, screenshots, and shorter scanned docs. Expert AI handles up to 25MB — enough for high-res architectural drawings, large scanned technical PDFs, or multi-page image-heavy docs.

Tier vs function: Expert AI is the tier name. AI Inbox is the flagship function within it — the MCP endpoint that lets your clients’ AI chats route briefs straight to you.

Three Expert tiers: Expert (free) — receive briefs up to 20 pages, listed in the directory, full self-protection (Open / Key / Paused). MCP stands for Model Context Protocol — an open standard that lets AI assistants (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Zed, Windsurf, Continue and other MCP-native tools) talk to external services. ailetterbox exposes an MCP endpoint, so once you’ve added it to your assistant’s config, you can send briefs to your trusted experts and check status from inside your chat — no need to open a browser. Same letterbox rules apply: content routed, then deleted. ChatGPT is not currently on this list. Setup takes about two minutes. Your dashboard shows the exact copy-paste config for each AI tool after you sign up — here’s the general shape.

Step 1 — Get your AI address. After signing up as Expert-tier, your address appears in your dashboard: mcp.ailetterbox.com/your-name. Copy it.

Step 2 — Add the server to your AI’s config. Every MCP-native AI has a config file where you list external servers. Examples:
· Claude Desktop — Settings → Developer → Edit Config → paste the config block
· Cursor — .cursor/mcp.json in your workspace
· Zed — Settings → Extensions → MCP
· Windsurf — Settings → Cascade → MCP servers

Your dashboard shows the exact JSON to paste for each — no editing required, just copy.

Step 3 — Restart your AI. Close the app fully and reopen. The ailetterbox tools appear in your tool menu.

Step 4 — Test it. Ask your AI: “Send a brief to my accountant to review this Q3 forecast.” It’ll route through ailetterbox, land in your inbox to respond, and appear in your dashboard to track.

If it doesn’t work first time, the most common issues are wrong quote characters (curly vs straight) or a typo in the server URL. Your dashboard’s copy-to-clipboard button avoids both.
