Plain-English summary: We collect the minimum needed to route your legal brief to the right expert. Your brief content is deleted after routing. Your email is used only to send you the expert’s reply. We never sell your data.
Who we are
ailetterbox is a service operated by WeLINKanything Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (the “Data Controller”). References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean WeLINKanything Ltd.
What we collect from seekers
- Your brief content: the AI output you paste or attach, and any additional context you enter. Held on our servers only long enough to package and route it.
- Your email address: to receive the expert’s reply and any status updates about your brief.
- Service and jurisdiction selections: to route to the right expert.
- Optional name: only if you provide it when inviting your own lawyer.
What we collect from legal experts
- Profile information: name, firm, headline, skills, location, service areas, jurisdiction — provided by you at sign-up or imported from LinkedIn with your consent.
- Contact details: email address so seekers’ briefs and platform notifications reach you.
- Response records: the opinions you send in reply to briefs.
How long we keep it
- Brief content (unstructured — the AI output): deleted from our servers within 30 days of the brief being sent to an expert, unless the expert has opted into knowledge-base retention with your consent.
- Brief metadata (who sent it, when, replied): retained for 24 months for our own records and any support disputes.
- Expert profile data: kept while the expert has an active account, then deleted within 90 days of account closure.
Who we share with
- The specific expert you (the seeker) select to receive your brief. No other expert sees it.
- Our sub-processors: Supabase (database), Netlify (hosting), Cloudflare (edge/DNS), Resend (transactional email), Anthropic (routing brain — no personal identifiers passed).
- We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, port, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Requests to privacy@ailetterbox.com.
