ailetterbox is a neutral protocol connecting seekers (humans or AI agents) who want an AI output sense-checked with a human expert. We are not a law firm, accountancy, or any other professional services firm, and we don’t give advice ourselves. Humans use the paste box free. Agents call via MCP free while we grow the network. Experts join with a monthly subscription (cancel anytime).

We are not a professional services firm of any kind, we do not employ the experts, we display credential information they provide but we do not warrant it, and we do not provide advice.
Nothing on ailetterbox constitutes legal, medical, financial, engineering, or any other regulated professional advice from us. An expert’s response is a professional sense-check based on the information you provide — not a substitute for a formal engagement. No fiduciary or client relationship is created by the sense-check exchange. For binding advice, you should engage the expert directly under their own terms.

For a seeker, use it as a steer: decide whether the AI output is safe to proceed with, flag what to watch, or recognise that you need something more substantive.
For the expert: your reply is a professional opinion, not a formal engagement or sign-off. If the brief needs more, offer a quote for a verified or paid review on your own terms; that engagement — fee, scope, and professional relationship — sits between you and the seeker directly, off ailetterbox.
The ailetterbox fee model is deliberately simple:
Prices are quoted exclusive of VAT, GST, sales tax, or other local taxes, which will be added at checkout where applicable. Prices are in US dollars unless a local currency is displayed at checkout.
The Letterboxledger is a public blockchain record (XRP Ledger) of paid AI-Agent verifications on ailetterbox. All records are hash-anchored, immutable, and contain no private content. Once written, no record can be edited or removed.
(a) Send events fire when an AI-Agent initiates a paid verification via our MCP endpoint. The record shows: send timestamp, declared seeker type (AI-human or AI-autonomous), category, and a hash of the brief.
(b) Reply events fire when the matched expert submits their reply to a paid AI-Agent brief. The record shows: reply timestamp, expert identity, verdict outcome, and a link to the corresponding send event.
(c) Free human-seeker sense-checks do not hit the Letterboxledger. Human-seeker briefs stay email-only — a private exchange between the seeker and the expert.
You should not send a paid AI-Agent brief through ailetterbox if an immutable public record of the fact of the ask is not acceptable to you. Note that no content from the brief or the reply is ever posted — the ledger records only that the ask (and the reply) happened.
The expert subscription is billed monthly in advance via Stripe at the rate shown on the pricing page. The first payment is taken at signup; subsequent payments on the same day of each month until cancelled. By subscribing you authorise ailetterbox to charge your payment method on each monthly renewal date without further confirmation.
Standard pricing may change with 30 days’ notice sent to the email address on file. Price changes apply from the next renewal date and never retroactively. The founding-cohort rate ($5.89, offered to members who join while the launch cohort is open) applies to the first month of subscription only; from the second month onwards the standard rate ($58.90/month) applies. ailetterbox reserves the right to close the founding cohort at any time without further notice.
Stripe holds card details; ailetterbox stores only the payment result, subscription identifier, and Stripe customer identifier.
Where an AI-Agent initiates a brief via our MCP endpoint, payment is settled on the public XRP Ledger. The AI-Agent (or its operator) funds the transaction in XRP; the USD-denominated fee shown on the pricing page is the obligation, XRP is only the settlement rail. Experts receive payout in FIAT (USD or GBP) via Stripe payout, or in XRP via a linked wallet, at their election.
AI-Agent fees — send fee, review fee, marketplace listing, verification bounty — are published on the pricing page. Fee amounts may change with 30 days’ notice posted on the pricing page. Fee changes apply only to AI-Agent briefs initiated after the effective date; never retroactively to in-flight work.
Where ailetterbox takes a platform commission on AI-Agent-initiated paid work, the commission split is published on the pricing page and applied at settlement. The expert’s share is paid out within ten business days of the AI-Agent’s payment clearing and the brief being completed. Platform commission does not apply to any work agreed and settled off-platform between a human seeker and an expert.
No ailetterbox fee applies to human-initiated sends via the paste box or AI-Chat flows. Experts do not pay a per-brief fee for receiving work; AI-Agent fees are borne by the AI-Agent (or its operator), not by the expert.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard (Settings → Subscription) or by contacting us at hello@ailetterbox.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain full access to all features until that period ends; no further charges will be made after that date.
Monthly fees already billed are non-refundable. We do not pro-rate refunds for mid-month cancellations, downgrades, or non-use. This applies to both standard and founding-cohort pricing.
If your card is declined or payment fails on renewal, we will attempt re-collection up to three times over seven days. If still unsuccessful, your subscription will be suspended; your account and data are retained for 30 days after suspension so you can restore access by updating payment. After 30 days, the account enters the deletion flow in section 8e.
No other on-platform fees flow through ailetterbox. Any paid follow-on work between an expert and a seeker is settled between them off-platform under their own terms; refunds on such work are agreed between them directly.
If we have made a billing error, contact us in writing (postal address below) and we will investigate and correct any error promptly. For UK/EU consumers, statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 apply — note that by beginning to use the subscription-based digital service at signup you consent to immediate performance and waive the 14-day cooling-off right as permitted under regulation 37(1)(a).
We reserve the right to disable or rate-limit any sender (human or agent) that shows patterns of automated abuse, spam, or attempts to circumvent platform-wide anti-abuse limits.
Each expert controls who can discover them and who can send them briefs via toggles in Settings → Reachability:
Each expert may generate a 6-digit PIN in Settings → PIN. When “Require PIN” is on, only briefs carrying a matching PIN reach the expert’s inbox; briefs without a valid PIN are rejected. Experts share their PIN directly with the clients they choose to receive briefs from. Regenerating a PIN immediately invalidates the prior PIN.
While PIN is required, AI-Agents access is auto-blocked regardless of the AI-Agents toggle, because autonomous agents cannot be given a human-controlled PIN.
AI-Agents access refers to autonomous AI — AI operating without a human in the loop — calling on ailetterbox to verify its own output against human expertise. This is distinct from AI Chats, where a human remains the sender.
AI-Agents is not yet live. Toggling the AI-Agents setting on in Settings → Reachability adds the expert’s user id and timestamp to a waiting list. We will notify waitlisted experts by email when AI-Agents goes live for their profession.
When live, each AI-Agents request will be gated by an XRP fee paid directly to the expert. The fee amount, split, and payout mechanism will be published in these Terms before AI-Agents is enabled for any profession.
The content captured into your Expert AI library — emails you BCC/CC/forward to your Expert AI address, verdicts you sign, and the reasoning they contain — is your data. We hold it on your behalf to power your private AI drafting layer. We do not read it, train on it, or share it with any other expert or third party.
You can export your Expert AI library at any time from Settings → Expert AI → Download your Expert AI library. Downloads are generated as one-time, signed URLs valid for ten minutes, rate-limited to one download per hour, and logged for audit.
If you delete your account, your Expert AI library is permanently deleted along with the rest of your account data.
You can export all your ailetterbox data from Settings → Account → Export all data. The export is a ZIP containing your profile fields, brief metadata (sent and received), Expert AI library, billing history, and ledger anchor transaction hashes.
You can permanently delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion requires explicit confirmation (typing “DELETE”). On confirmation, all account data is deleted within 30 days, including:

On account deletion, your subscription is cancelled. Monthly fees already billed are non-refundable.
Any paid follow-on work between a seeker and an expert (revisions, engagement, rework, formal advice) is agreed and paid directly between them, off-platform. ailetterbox is not a party to that engagement, does not take a fee or commission on it, and does not warrant or mediate it. Public contact information on expert profiles is provided to enable this off-platform engagement.
During beta, ailetterbox does not operate a paid referral programme. We may introduce one in a later release; if we do, the applicable rates, activation steps, and payout schedule will be published here and on the pricing page, and existing users will be notified before joining.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ailetterbox is not liable for the content, accuracy, or consequences of any verdict, opinion, or follow-on work provided by an expert. Your professional relationship in respect of that content is with the expert directly.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of ailetterbox is limited to the greater of (a) fees paid by you to ailetterbox in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.
We may suspend or terminate any account for breach of these terms, for abusive behaviour, for legal or regulatory reasons, or where the account has been inactive on the free tier for an extended period. Where reasonable, we will notify you first.
We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material to paid subscribers, we will notify by email in advance. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England & Wales.
